Helpful breadman tr875 bread maker Sources
I bought the Breadman TR875 back in December of 2008 and one word describes this device: Wow!
I have made most of the recipes in the manual and a lot from recipes I found online. All have been great. There have been a couple that have not risen properly but those were store bought bread machine brands.
I have mostly made the 1.5 lb sizes as sometimes the 2 lb loaves rise too high and touch the viewing window. Also 2 lb is a lot of bread and bread machine loaves are best eaten within 1 - 2 days.
Sometimes the paddle comes off and is stuck inside the completed baked bread but usually it stays on. It’s all in how you shake the bread out when it’s done I think.
The outside of the Breadman is not hot at all so it can go against backsplashes. One thing I did not know was to separate the salt and suger that is added to the breadpan. None of the recipes in the manual mention this so be sure to add the liquids first, then the flour, and THEN the salt and suger (if needed) to opposite sides of the breadpan.
All in all, this is a great device and I can honestly say I have not bought ANY store bread brands since I have had this. I did an Excel spreadsheet listing the bread I would have bought from November to June and offset the flour and bread supplies that I bought, I saved over $200 in that eight month period.

Unbiased Review for west bend bread makers
We had been hesitant to purchase a bread machine as reviews for all products range from wonderful to horrid. We finally decided on the West Bend 41200 because of the low price, the flexibility of multiple size loaves and the additional dough and jam features. In the month since purchase, we have used the bread machine 10 times, making 4 different types of breads ranging from traditional white to beer/jalapeno/cheese, sweet breads, pizza dough and jam. We have no complaints. Using the bread machine is actually easier than you are led to believe. All recipes say you must measure exactly, only use the ingredients listed and follow step by step. This is not true. We have modified recipes slightly by adding/reducing liquid if the dough or the proportions do not seem proper, we have substituted ingredients; using all-purpose flour, not bread flour; substituting an equal amount of skim milk in place of the water and dry milk; etc. We find no appreciable difference in the quality of the product. Focus Electrics, owner of the West Bend name, has a wonderful recipe book on their website: [...]We are so pleased with the West Bend 41200 we will be purchasing many more for wedding and holiday gifts.
